THE WEST COAST CHAPTER STARTED HERE
McMurray & Sons started in 1919 in Des Moines, Iowa, but Eureka is where the story really begins. In 1948, founder Thomas J. McMurray moved to Eureka, and this coast has been home base ever since.
The company incorporated in 1964 and grew into one of the area's steady employers, the kind a town learns to trust over generations. A Crescent City branch followed in the late '80s, and in 1991, a second crew planted a flag in Bend, Oregon, carrying the same standard inland.
Two states. Two crews. One coastline where it all started.
